While browsing the art posted on this site, I came across some of the work Mr Fabian did for TSR's Ravenloft setting. Great stuff! I have several of the old books, and his art was a major selling point for me. I understand that he got a little burned out drawing so many Gothic pieces, but I thought I'd let him klnow that he has a lot of fans over at Fraternity of Shadows, the primary fansite for Ravenloft. Fabian's black and white art pretty much defined the early look of the setting.
PS- While not a huge Dragonlance fan, I always liked his stuff for that setting, too. He did some very nice fantasy pieces in the Time of the Dragon boxed set.

Yes, Mr. Fabian did great work for TSR in general and for other settings in particular (check Forgotten Realms Adventures hardcover, for example, or Principalities of Glantri) but Ravenloft was really "his" campaign setting. The Clyde Caldwell-cover/Stephen Fabian-interior team was the most functional one of the early 90s, at least in my opinion.
No surprise TSR kept printing his old drawings in many supplements...
